Cepacol, styled Cēpacol, is a brand of personal hygiene products and products for relief of sore throat. It is distributed in the US by Reckitt Benckiser. The brand was originally owned by J.B. Williams, which was acquired by Combe Incorporated. Combe Incorporated sold its itch care business, as well as Cepacol, to Reckitt Benckiser in 2011. The original formula originated from Reckitt Benckiser's Strepsil formula which is widely known in the UK. Cepacol is very similar if not the same to strepsils, the only real difference being the name. Just like many Multinational brands, Naming will be difference dependant on the continent in which the product is sold in. |
