THE, The Hirst Experience, is a family-owned business that was founded under the holding company of Textech Cape which began in 1998. Founded by Mark Hirst, Textech Cape originally started out selling textile machinery in SA, with the vision of one day working alongside his 4 children. In 2010, the business diversified into the textile manufacturing sector, servicing the local yarn twisting and package-dye preparation market, this is when his eldest son Jan joined the company.
Finally in 2021 Marks vision came to fruition when both daughters, Jade and Amber joined. A medical division was formed to manufacture woollen orthopaedic socks for our local and international markets. As a family, we all pride ourselves on insisting on top quality, maintaining a high level of professionalism, paying fine attention to detail, and always putting our maximum effort into every item we manufacture all this while striving to only use locally manufactured raw materials in all our products where available thus playing an integral part in supporting and promoting local SA businesses as much as we can.
